Kristina Vanderhoof has had the privilege of working with children of all ages with special needs, both in the classroom and the home for over ten years.  After receiving her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in 2012, Kristina began teaching for a regional school system specializing in instructing children with autism and behavioral disorders. She received her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in 2017. On her free time, Kristina enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring the island, and traveling.

Meghan Staat is a Clinical Supervisor with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting. Meghan has two degrees from Northwest University: a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching. Meghan is a K-8 Washington certified teacher. Meghan completed her graduate level coursework in behavior analysis through the Florida Institute of Technology and became BCBA-certified in December 2016. Meghan has over seven years of experience working with children and adolescents as a teacher. She discovered ABA while desiring to find a way to work with children and adolescents in a one on one capacity. Helping clients reach meaningful outcomes is one of the driving forces behind her love of ABA. Meghan has a desire to be an advocate for her clients and their families within their school settings to help them achieve the most positive learning experience. Meghan is passionate about many things including but not limited to: camping and fishing, Disney, and the color purple.

Callie Rumley is a Clinical Supervisor with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting. She is responsible for overseeing Blue Water's newest location in Vancouver, WA. Callie received a Bachelor's in Psychology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Callie also received a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University in Panama City, Florida. Callie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has over five years experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. She has provided ABA services across many environments including home, school, community, private clinics, and state agencies. Callie has presented research in ABA at behavior analytic conferences at the local, state, and national level. Callie is passionate about the field of behavior analysis because she finds it very fulfilling and rewarding to have the opportunity to work with so many unique individuals and families and assist them in making positive life changes. In her spare time Callie enjoys spending quality time outdoors partaking in activities like paddleboarding, hiking, and bicycle riding.

Carly Palmer is a Registered Behavior Technician with Blue Water. She has been working with the company since May of 2017. Carly was born and raised in Skagit Valley, and received her Bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in 2017. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. She hopes to obtain her BCBA after graduating. One thing that Carly loves about working in ABA is that she is able to help children reach their goals. Outside of work Carly loves being outdoors, especially for camping, swimming, or taking her dog on new hikes. She also enjoys reading and board game nights with family and friends.

Rachel Wagner is the Founder, Owner, and Executive Director of Blue Water Behavioral Consulting. She manages the daily operations of Blue Water and is responsible for the training and supervision of staff as well as the overseeing programming for all clients. Rachel received two degrees from Florida State University: a Bachelor's in Psychology, and a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. Brandace Collins is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Blue Water Behavioral Consulting. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai`i and recently moved to Washington State to further her learning opportunities. Brandace received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and plans to pursue a master’s degree in the upcoming year.She has been volunteering and working with individuals with disabilities since the age of 12. While completing her bachelor’s degree, she immersed herself into the Deaf community, enrolled in the sign language interpretation program, and assisted Deaf students in the community college setting.  Practicing ABA as an RBT for almost two years, Brandace has experience in the school, home, clinic and community settings. What she enjoys most about ABA is helping children develop language, ultimately allowing them to communicate with their family, form relationships, and advocate for themselves. On the weekends, she loves to take her two puppies on adventures or explore the city life. 

Rachael Witter is a Registered Behavior Technician with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting. She works in home and in the community with children to deliver ABA services in the most suitable environment. Rachael has worked with individuals diagnosed with autism and/or developmental delays for over 3 years. She loves working with a wide variety of individuals and is eager to learn all she can from the children she works with. Rachael received her Bachelor's of Science majoring in Psychology from Western Washington University and began working on her Master’s degree in Fall 2016. She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and loves it here. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, shopping, spending time with her family, and binging on her favorite Netflix shows.

Vanessa Bernales is a Registered Behavioral Technician with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Psychology at Western Washington University in 2017.  She is passionate about creating positive relationships with children, and serving them so that they may reach their full potential. When she is not working Vanessa loves spending time with her big family, traveling to new places and trying new craft projects.

Christina Gunn is a Registered Behavior Technician with Blue Water. She was raised in Florida, and moved to Whidbey Island in 2016 with her husband and two dogs.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from University of North Florida in 2012, and has been working with children in a variety of fields since then. She has always had a passion for working with children, and stumbled into Applied Behavior Analysis when she desired a change from a classroom setting and wanted to work with kids in a one-on-one capacity. She loves helping kids reach their fullest potential and build on their individual strengths. When not at work, Christina enjoys yoga, hiking, reading, and cooking.

Kristi Hassler, BCBA is a Clinical Supervisor with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting.  Kristi’s interest for working with children with autism sparked in England, where she studied abroad and took a course in developmental disorders in communication.   From there, she returned to the United States and began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and hasn’t looked back since.  Kristi graduated from Humboldt State University with a BA in Psychology in 2003 and returned to school in 2011 to earn an MA in Teaching, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  She studied at Florida Institute of Technology Online to become a BCBA in 2014.  Besides being dedicated to providing quality ABA services, Kristi and her husband have four children, which is always an adventure! 

Grace Parkhouse is a Clinical Supervisor with Blue Water Behavioral Consulting.  She grew up in northern Minnesota and is thrilled to be back by the water here in Anacortes.  She got her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of North Dakota.  She then moved to Washington to pursue her dream of becoming a Behavior Analyst and attended the ABA program at Central Washington University.  She received her Masters of Science Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in August 2016.  During her last year of graduate school, she did her ABA internship at a ranch owned and operated by adults with autism and/or Down's syndrome in a program that emphasizes vocational skills, recreation, and life-long learning.  She started working for Blue Water in October 2016 and became BCBA-certified in June 2018.  She has fully enjoyed working with children in different capacities for the past 9 years.  She finds ABA work very fulfilling and loves that it embraces the individuality of each person.  She loves seeing the positive change and growth in her clients.  In her off time, she enjoys playing games, traveling, hiking, canyoneering, and biking.

Janine Arp is a BCBA & Clinical Supervisor.  She received her Bachelor’s in Student and Family Ministry from Corban University in Salem, OR.  From there she desired something more and through research discovered the field of ABA.  She received her Master’s in Psychology: Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University.  She moved to the area from Oregon in the summer of 2016 seeking a job in the ABA field.  She found she truly loved working in this field.  She has always had a passion for working with children, especially children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and this field is a great way to really impact the lives of the children and their families seeking help. 


Ami Lavender Crowell is a BCBA who joined Blue Water Consulting in May 2016. She acquired both her Bachelor's in Theatre and Psychology in 2007 and her Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010 at The Florida State University. Ami has had a passion to serve children and families since high school but started working with them directly in 2006. She began during undergrad with FSU's Jumpstart Americorp team, then contributed as after school program aide with an elementary school, and branched out into early intervention as Family Support Coordinator with the Children's Home Society. Afterwards, she was accepted as a graduate assistant with FSU in becoming a Behavior Specialist in elementary schools, providing behavior supports and interventions in classrooms. Finally, Ami became a  Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2010. She has since worked in Sacramento, CA and Northern WA on Whidbey Island and in Anacortes. Her work involves directly teaching clients across all age ranges, and assisting in skills training and intervention implementation with teachers, administrative personnel, and parents. In her opinion, "The best part of this career is the opportunity to increase our client's quality of life and the ways in which they interact within their community."

Iva Le is a Registered Behavior Technician. She is from Norway and raised in Orange County, CA. She received her Bachelor’s in Health Science at California State University of Fullerton in Fullerton, CA. She values a healthy lifestyle whether it be nutrition, exercise, or mental health. She discovered her love for therapy during a rehabilitation internship during her undergraduate years. Being alongside an individual during their journey to success, and celebrating milestones together is what makes this field so rewarding for Iva. Since then, she has enjoyed working with clients and their families to provide resources and tools for a more independent, positive, and healthy lifestyle. She currently attends Ball State University and is working towards her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis. She enjoys health and nutrition, traveling, snowboarding, paddleboarding, running, hiking, and wakeboarding with her husband and adventure dog.
